Graphic Designer

Job Summary

Join the fastest growing marketing consulting agency in South Texas! We are looking for a qualified Graphic Designer to bring creative concepts to life for our clients.

The role of the Graphic Designer will be to use two or three-dimensional art to create visual concepts. They will design logos and layout designs for print and electronic media including websites, magazines, brochures, user interfaces, billboards, product labels, reports and advertisements. They work with other professionals to incorporate typesetting, illustration, photography, and even programming, to ensure products display as intended. Great Graphic Designers understand how to communicate brands visually and effectively.

The goal is to ensure the creative development of our client’s brand messaging and reinforce our agency as a leader in the industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Remain in close communication with project managers and/or clients to comprehend their needs and specifications
  • Translating client needs and branding strategies into design strategies
  • Designing visual concepts using graphic design tools including design software
  • Selecting colors, fonts, photographs, layouts and other design elements to communicate creative concepts
  • Collaborating with creative directors, branding experts, front end developers, marketing, content and other professionals to create media
  • Articulating and pitching design concepts to clients, art directors and others
  • Meet with clients to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like. Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
  • Create these materials by hand or by using technology, including computer software programs.
  • Adobe’s Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more—is the standard in the industry and most employers expect designers to be proficient with its programs.
  • Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received.
  • Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
  • Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to confer advice and suggestions from clients, as well as understand what they want.
  • The ability to juggle several projects almost simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate and get along with others when they work as part of a design team.
  • Knowledge of both typography and color theory is critical. Internships.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of accounts possibly from different industries.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in graphic arts, design, communication, relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Job Type: Part Time Position
Pay: Up to $13.00 per hour
